Çalışmanın amacı, Isparta'da ağaç ve orman ürünleri endüstrisinde faaliyet gösteren firmaların hayatta kalma ve büyüme performanslarını etkileyen faktörler ve bu faktörlerin firma performansına etkisinin belirlenmesidir. Firmaların hayatta kalmasını ve büyümesini etkileyen faktörler, örgütsel, yönetsel ve çevresel kaynaklı olmak üzere üç kategoride firmalarla yüz yüze yapılan anketler yardımıyla ölçülmüştür. Bu amaçla literatüre dayalı olarak firmaların hayatta kalma ve büyüme performansını etkileyen faktörler belirlenmiştir. 2008 yılında yapılan bir çalışmada kullanılan örneklem bu çalışmanın da örneklemini oluşturmaktadır. Uygulama kısmında 61 firma ile anket yapılmıştır. Anketin değerlendirilmesi amacıyla, hayatta kalma için Kaplan-Meier Yöntemi ve firma büyümesi için Tobit Analizi kullanılmıştır. Yapılan çalışmada çevresel ve örgütsel kaynaklı faktörlerin firmaların hayatta kalma ve büyüme performansları üzerinde anlamlı bir etkiye sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. The aim of the study is to determine the factors that effect the survival and the growth of the firms that are active in the wood and forest productions industry in Isparta and the effects of these factors on the performances of the firms. Using the questionnaires that were implement to the firms, these factors were measured as categorized organizationally, administratively and environmentally originated. The factors affecting the survival and growth performance of firms identified on the basis of the literature. The sample that was used in a study in 2008 was also used in this study. In the application part, a questionnaire was carried out with 61 firms. To assess the results of the questionnaires, Kaplan-Meier Method was used for survival of the firms, and Tobit Analysis for growth of the firms. The study demonstrated that environmental and organizational factors had a significant effect on the survival and growth performance of these firms.
