“Bir Tarım Coğrafyası Örneği: Türkiye’de Tıbbi ve Aromatik Bitki Yetiştiriciliği ve Kullanım Alanları” adındaki bu çalışma ile Coğrafya bilimi açısından daha önce çalışılmamış olan bu konu ile ilgili literatüre bir katkı sağlanması amaçlanmıştır.Bu çalışmanın konusu Türkiye’de üretilen bazı tıbbi ve aromatik bitkilerin (anason, çay, kekik, tütün, şerbetçi otu, nane, kimyon, haşhaş, kenevir, adaçayı, defne, çam fıstığı, kekik) tarım coğrafyası açısından incelenmesi oluşturmaktadır. Türkiye'de üretilen ve çalışmada ele alınan bu bitkilerin bitkisel özellikleri ve yetişme koşulları, tarımı, üretimi ve üretimin mekansal dağılımı, kullanım alanları coğrafyanın ilkelerine ve araştırma metotlarına bağlı kalarak incelenmiş ve inceleme sonuçları ortaya konulmuştur. Buna göre, tıbbi ve aromatik özelliklere sahip bitkilerin üretilmesi ve kullanılması hususunda, Türkiye florasının zenginliğinden gerektiği gibi faydalanılmalıdır. Böylece ülke ekonomisine bir katkı sağlanırken, dış ülkelere bağımlılık azalacaktır. Anahtar Kelimeler :Türkiye, tıbbi ve aromatik bitki, tarım coğrafyası. |

This study called “An Example of Agricultural Geography: Cultivation of Medical and Aromatic Plants in Turkey and their Usage” aims at contributing the publications related to this topic that has not been studied before with regard to geography.The subject of this study is to search some of the medical and aromatic plants cultivated in Turkey such as anise, tea, thyme, tobacco, hop, mint, cumin, poppy, hemp, sage, laurel, and pine kernel in terms of agricultural geography. The vegetal properties and cultivation conditions, agriculture, production and the distribution of production, and the usage of these crops cultivated in Turkey and dealt with in the study were researched according to the principles of geography and research methods, and the findings of the research were introduced. According to the findings, the richness of Turkey’s flora should be utilized properly regarding the cultivation and usage of medical and aromatic plants.Therefore, a contribution to the economy of the country will be provided; moreover, the dependence on foreign countries will lessen.
