Dünya çapında geçmişten günümüze pek çok ekonomik, siyasi, toplumsal vb. krizler yaşanmaktadır. Her ne kadar bu krizler önemli ölçüde ülkesel ya da bölgesel düzeyde gerçekleşse de Büyük Buhran ve Küresel Finansal Kriz gibi bazı ekonomik krizler tüm dünyayı önemli ölçüde etkilemiştir. Bu çalışmada, farklı makro ekonomik kriterler temel alınarak Çok Kriterli Karar Verme Yöntemleri’nden Gri ilişkisel Analiz Yöntemi ile Küresel Finansal Krizi’nin ülke performanslarını etkileyip etkilemediği incelenmektedir. Bu amaçla çalışma OECD, BRICS, G8 ve G20 ülke gruplarına ait 2000 - 2011 yıllarına ait makro ekonomik veriler kriz öncesi ve kriz dönemi olmak üzere altışar yıllık iki döneme ayrılarak karşılaştırmalı olarak incelenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda Küresel Finansal Krizi’nin özellikle BRICS grubu ülkelerin performanslarını olumlu yönde etkilerken diğer gruplarda çok sayıda ülkenin bu krizden olumsuz etkilendiği gözlenmektedir. Many economic, political and social etc. crises have been happening in the world from past till now. Although the impact of those crises were limited to specific countries or regions, certain economic crises like Great Depression and Global Financial Crisis affected the world significantly. In this study, it is examined that whether or not Gray Relational Analysis Method from Multi Criterion Decision Making Techniques and Global Economic Crisis affected country performances. For this aim, this study analysed OECD, BRICS, G8 and G20 country groups’ affection from Global crisis with the help of Gray Relational Analysis technique by using the data before and during 6 years of the crisis covering 2000 and 2011 period. As a result of this study, it is found out that while Global Economic Crisis positively affected especially BRICS countries’ performances positively, many countries from other groups affected in a negative way.
