Bu tez çalışmasında Türkiye’de tarım ürünleri ihracatının ekonomik büyümeye katkısı incelenmiştir.İlk olarak dış ticaret kavramı teorik çerçevesi ile ortaya konmuş, tarihsel süreci içerisinde detaylı olarak incelenmiştir. Geleneksel ve modern teoriler tarım ürünleri ihracatı - büyüme ilişkisi ile ilişkilendirilerek ele alınmıştır.Takip eden bölümde dış ticaretin ekonomik büyüme ile ilişkisi analiz edilmiştir. İstikrarlı bir iktisadi kalkınmanın lokomotiflerinden olan ihracatı destekleyip geliştirecek politikalar tartışılmış ve dış ticaret hadleri kavramı detaylandırılmıştır. Dış ticarette liberalizasyonun her zaman olumlu sonuçlar doğurmayabileceğine dair görüşler de tez çalışmasına dâhil edilmiştir. Bu görüşlerin en kuvvetlilerinden biri olan ‘yoksullaştıran büyüme’ kavramı ayrıntılı olarak incelenmiştir.Tarım sektörünün ekonomi içerisindeki payı yıllar içinde düşüş gösterse de bu durum sektörün önemini kaybettiği şeklinde yorumlanmamalıdır. Zira tarıma dayalı sanayi gelişmekte ve bu gelişim tarım sektörünü her zamankinden daha önemli hale getirmektedir. Bu amaçla üçüncü bölümde Türkiye’nin tarım ürünleri ihracatı ele alınmıştır. İstatistik veriler, tablo ve grafikler incelenmek suretiyle sayısal değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır.Son bölümde Türkiye’nin tarım ürünleri ihracatının ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkisi ekonometrik yöntemler kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. The contribution of Turkey’s agricultural exports to economic growth is analyzed in this thesis.At first hand, the concept of foreign trade is explained with its theoretical framework and detailed within historical process. Traditional and modern theories are approached with association of agricultural exports with economic growth.Thereinafter the relationship between foreign trade and economic growth has been examined. The policies which improve exports steadily are argued behind with a summarization of the concept of terms of trade.Views about “The liberalisation of foreign trade may not cause always a positive conclusion” has taken place in the study as well. Depending on these views immiserizing growth is explained in detail.Although a downtrend in the share of agricultural sector in Turkish Economy over the years, the situation should not interpreted as the sector getting less important. Because agro-industries are emerging and increase the importance of agricultural sector more than ever. In order to indicate the importance, Turkey’s agricultural export has been examined in third chapter. Quantitative analysis has done via statistical data, charts and graphics.In the last chapter the effect of agricultural exports on the economic growth is analyzed by using econometric methods.
