Toplumların tarihinde iz bırakan, içinde yaşadığı topluma liderlik yaparak kültür ve medeniyeti çağın ilerisine taşıyan üstün zekâlı ve özel yetenekli bireyler ve bu bireylerin eğitimi geçmişten günümüze hep ilgi konusu olmuştur. Ülkemizde üstün zekâlı ve özel yetenekli öğrencilere eğitim veren belli başlı kurumların içerisinde en yaygın olanı Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı Özel Eğitim ve Rehberlik Hizmetleri Genel Müdürlüğü‟ ne bağlı Bilim ve Sanat Merkezleridir.Bilim, sanat, teknoloji vb. alanlarda toplumlara liderlik yapacak bireylerin uygun eğitim olanaklarıyla yetiştirilmesi, sadece bu bireylerin içinde yaşadıkları toplumlar için değil; tüm insanlık için büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bilim ve Sanat Merkezleri de; kendi akranları içerisinden seçilen üstün zekâlı ve özel yetenekli öğrencilerin ilgileri ve kabiliyetleri doğrultusunda eğitim aldıkları kurumlar olmaları sebebiyle önemli bir yere sahiptir.Bu çalışmanın amacı; Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi‟ ne devam eden üstün zekâlı ve özel yetenekli çocukların sosyalleşme koşullarını ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmada, zekâ ve sosyalleşme kavramlarından hareketle; Antalya, Burdur ve Isparta Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi‟ne devam eden üstün zekâlı ve özel yetenekli çocukların sosyalleşme koşulları alan verilerinden de yararlanılarak açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. The gifted and talented individuals who have impressed the societies and made the culture and civilization go beyond the era by being a leader in the society they have lived and the education of these individuals has always been a subject of interest. The most common major institution for the education of the gifted and talented students in our country is the Science and Art Centers related Special Education and Guidance Services of Ministry of National Education.The appropriate training of the students who will lead the societies in the areas of science, art and tecnology does not onyl have important for their society but also has great importance for all humankind. Science and Art Centers have great importance due to being the institutions providing educations to gifted and talented students who are selected among their peers in accordance with their ability and interests.The purpose of this study; is to present the conditions of the socialization of the gifted and talented students who study in Science and Art Centers. In the study, by using the notions of intelligence and socialization, it is tried to be explained the conditions of the socialization of the gifted and talented students who study in Science and Art Centers in Antalya, Burdur and Isparta by using the field data.
