Bu çalışmanın amacı, toplumsal hareketlerin niteliğini ve yazılı basındaki temsilini ‘Gezi Parkı Olayları’ üzerinden açıklamaktır. Çalışmada ana akım dışında kalan üç gazetenin, yeni toplumsal hareket örneği olan Gezi Parkı Olayları üzerinden yazılı basında nasıl temsil bulduğu, haberlerini hangi yönde ve hangi tutumla sundukları, neleri ön plana çıkarıp, neleri görmezden gelmeyi tercih ettikleri, olayları nasıl algıladıkları ve yaşanılan sürecin niteliğinin nasıl olduğunu anlamak amaçlanmıştır.Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde araştırmanın konusu, amacı, önemi, sınırlılıkları ve kapsamı hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde toplumsal hareketler ve yeni toplumsal hareketler konuları açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Kentsel toplumsal hareketler ve Gezi Parkı Olayları’nın niteliklerine yer verilmiştir. Son olarak ise, Gezi Parkı Olayları’nın, örneklemi oluşturan gazeteler üzerinden Türkiye basınında nasıl yer aldığı ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın üçüncü bölümünde ise araştırmanın yöntemi, çalışmada kullanılan teknikler verilmiştir. Çalışmanın son bölümü olan dördüncü bölümünde ise, Gezi Parkı’yla ilgili iki aylık süreçte, 3 farklı gazetenin yayımladıkları haberler içerik ve söylem analizleriyle değerlendirilmiştir. Gazetelerden elde ettiğimiz veriler bize göstermiştir ki, yaşanılan bu yeni toplumsal hareketle birlikte gazetelerin her birinin yayımladıkları haberler, ideolojik görüşlerinden bağımsız değildir. The aim of this study the quality of social movements and the effect on public opinion formation ‘Gezi Park protests’ through the press out to explain. In this study it is aimed to understand via Gezi Park Protests that three newspaper, which remaining outside the mainstram, how representation in the written press; which direction and how present news; how they perceived events; how is quality of experienced process.In the first section of our study, information on the field and range of the study has been presented. In the second section, the terms social movements and new social movements has been defined. Finally, It is tried to introduce that Gezi Park Protest how located in Turkish media in newspaper which is sample. In the third section of this study, the approach of the study and the techniques used in the study have been detailed. In the final, the fourth, section our study, 3 different newspapers published in the two-month period, the news about ‘Gezi Park protests’ were evaluated by content and discourse analysis. The data we obtained from the newspapers showed us, living with this new social movement of each of the newspapers they publish news, is not independent of ideological views.
