Bu tezin amacı, askerlik hizmeti süresince Türk Silahlı kuvvetlerinde verilen çeşitli eğitimlerin erlerin toplumsallaşması üzerinde etkisi olup olmadığını ortaya çıkarmaktır.Bu amaca ulaşmak için; dünyada ve ülkemizde uygulanan askerlik hizmeti incelenmiştir. Dört bölüm olarak düzenlenen bu çalışmada, kuramsal çerçeve olarak toplumsallaşmanın ve ülkemizde kanunlarla belirlenmiş süre dahilinde yerine getirilen zorunlu askerliğin temel öğeleri esas alınmıştır.Birinci bölümde; temel kavramlar olarak toplumsallaşma, askerlik ve askerlik hizmeti genel olarak ele alınmıştır.İkinci bölümde; genel olarak dünyadaki, detaylı olarak da ülkemizdeki askerlik uygulamaları ele alınmıştır.Üçüncü bölümde; Türk Silahlı Kuvvetlerine hakim olan ideolojik görüş, Türk Silahlı Kuvvetlerinde verilen eğitimler ve bu eğitimlerin erlerin kişisel gelişimi üzerindeki etkisi incelenmiştir.Dördüncü bölümde; askerlik hizmetinin erlerin toplumsallaşması üzerindeki etkilerini daha net ortaya çıkarmak için, Adıyaman ilinde askerlik hizmetini yerine getiren erlere anket çalışması uygulanmıştır. Ankette yöneltilen sorulara verilen cevapların analizleri yapılmıştır.Sonuç ve değerlendirmede; zorunlu askerlik sürecinin erlerin toplumsallaşması üzerinde etkisi olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. ainings given by Turkish Military Forces during the military service have some effects on military conscripts' socialization and their general personality developments. For this objective the military services in Turkey and around the world have been examined. The study is structured under four sections and key elements of political socialization and compulsory military service, whose period is laid by laws, are taken as a basis for the theoretical framework of this research.In the first section, the basic terms (concepts) of political socialization, soldiery and military service are explained in a general way. After, the military applications in the world are examined from a general perspective whereas Turkish military service system is analyzed in a more detailed way in the second section. In the third section of the study, the dominant ideological view in the Turkish Military Forces, trainings in this organization and the effects of these trainings on the personality development of conscripts are studied.In the fourth section, a survey study has been conducted on conscripts who do their military service in Adiyaman city, to disclose the effects of military service on conscripts' political socialization more lucidly, and consequently the responds to the survey questions are analyzed.In the conclusion and assessment section of the research, it is reached to the conclusion that the compulsory military service process has effects on the socialization development of conscripts.
