Türkiye'de, Türk-İslam Felsefesine ilişkin çalışmalar, ağırlıklı olarak Cumhuriyet öncesi dönem üzerinde yoğunlaşmıştır. Oysa Cumhuriyet dönemi Türk felsefesi, hem dönemin sosyolojik özellikleri hem de bu özelliklere bağlı olarak şekillenen düşünce yapısı açısından çeşitli ve orijinal fikirlerin ortaya koyulduğu bir dönemdir. Bu çeşitliliğin temelinde, dönemsel olarak hem Türkiye'de hem de dünya genelinde yaşanan gelişmeler vardır. Bilimsel ve teknolojik gelişmelerin beraberinde getirdiği siyasal ve ekonomik değişiklikler ve kitle iletişim araçlarının gelişmesiyle dünya genelinde yaşanan sosyolojik değişmeler, felsefeyi etkilemiş, Türk filozofları da bu değişimden etkilenmişlerdir.Cumhuriyet dönemi Türk filozoflarından olan Nihat Keklik de, dönemin özelliklerine uygun olarak bilimler karşısında felsefeyi yeniden tanımlama ve konumlandırma çalışmalarında bulunmuştur. Bu çalışmalar dünya genelinde yaşanan gelişmelerin, Türk-İslam sentezinde yorumlanmasıyla “Hikmet Binası” teorisini ortaya koymasına neden olmuştur. Bununla beraber yine içinde yaşadığı dönemin sosyo-ekonomik sorunlarına da çözümler üretme çabasında olmuş, bu çerçevede de bireyden millete, milletten de insanlığa yükselen bir ahlak teorisi ortaya koymuştur. In Turkey, the studies on Turkish-Islamic Philosophy predominantly focus on pre-Republic period. But Turkish philosophy during republic period was a period in which various and original ideas were put forward in terms of period's sociological features and the thinking structure shaped by those features. Periodical events that occurred in Turkey and throughout the world constitute the base of this variety.Sociological changes experienced throughout the world with the development of mass communication in addition to political and economical changes that were brought along with scientific and technological improvements influenced both the philosophy and Turkish philosophers.Nihat Keklik, one of the Turkish philosophers in the republic period, carried out studies to re-define and re-position philosophy in the face of sciences according to the period's features. These studies led him to put forward the theory of "Hikmet Binası (Wisdom Building)" based on interpretation of developments throughout the world in scope of Turkish-Islamic synthesis. Moreover, he tried to propose some solutions for socio-economic problems of the period in which he lived, and put forward a moral theory in scope of which the individual ascends to nation, and the nation ascends to humanity.
