Çocuklar hanede var olan yoksulluktan en fazla etkilenen gruplar arasındadır. Bu grupların yoksulluktan etkilenme düzeyleriyle sağlıklı bireyler olarak topluma katılabilme şansları arasında ters orantı bulunmaktadır. Yoksulluk hali çocukların sadece belirli imkanlarından değil, aynı zamanda haklarından da yoksun olmalarını beraberinde getirmektedir. Yoksulluk içinde büyüyen çocuklar, sağlık, beslenme, eğitim gibi haklarını tam olarak kullanamamakta, sömürü şiddet ve ayrımcılıklara uğramaktadır. Bu çalışma göçmenler için çekim merkezi olma özelliğine sahip ve Güneydoğu Anadolu Bölgesi’nin gelişmişlik düzeyin en yüksek ili olan Gaziantep’te, göçmen hanelerin çocuklarının yaşadığı yoksulluğun görünümlerini ortaya koymaktadır. Çalışma Gaziantep’te bulunan göçmen yoksul hanelerin çocuklarının yoksulluğu anlamlandırma ve yaşama biçimlerinin neler olduğu, yoksulluğu gündelik hayatlarında nasıl inşa ettikleri, hanelerin yoksullukla mücadele stratejilerinde çocuğun rolü ele alınmıştır. Çocukların yoksulluk nedeniyle yaşam alanlarında (hane, okul, mahalle vb.) karşılaştıkları risklerin neler olduğu, eğitim odaklı ve diğer sosyal yardımların çocukları eğitim süreci içerisinde kalabilmelerine yaptığı katkıyla birlikte çocukların hayal, mutluluk ve mutsuzluk modelleri çıkarılmıştır. Children are among the groups the most affected by the household poverty. These groups affected by poverty levels are inversely proportional chance to participate in society as healthy individuals. Children growing up in poverty are significantly deprivied of the rights to health, nutrition and education and face the risks of exploitation, violence and discrimination. This study and the development level of the Southeastern Anatolia Region with distinction of being the center of attraction for immigrants in Gaziantep province with the highest immigrant households reveals the extent of poverty where children live. The objective of this study is to address the interpretation of the children of the immigrant poor houses living in the city of Gaziantep on the poverty, how they live, how they construct the poverty in their daily life and the role of the children in fighting against the poverty by the houses. The risks which are encountered by the children in the living quarters (house, school, quarters etc.) due to the poverty have been specified and models of dreams, happiness and unhappiness of the children have been drawn with education based and other social aid for children to remain in the education process.
