Şeriye sicil defterleri Osmanlı Devleti'nde merkezde ve taşrada her tabakadan insanlar arasındaki hukuki ilişkilere dair kayıtları içeren önemli defterlerdir. Şeriyye sicil defterleri Osmanlı hayatının aile, toplum, ekonomi, hukuk ve diplomasi gibi birçok alanın tarihi için önemli bir kaynaktır.Çalışmamızı teşkil eden 190 Numaralı Kudüs şeriyye Sicil Defteri h. 1079-1085 (m.1668-1674) yılları arasında Kudüs’e gönderilen resmi yazışmaların transkripsiyon ve değerlendirmesini içermektedir.Kudüs şeriyye Sicil Defterinde toplam üç yüz yirmidört adet belge bulunmaktadır. Bu belgelerin iki yüz on dokuzu berat, doksan dördü ferman ve on biri mektuptur. Yazışmaların içeriğine bakıldığında Vakıf, Tımar, Gayri Müslim, Medrese, Vergi, Askeri meseleler ve Görevli atamaları ile ilgili olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Court records are important books which contain legal relationship of every class people from provinces and center in Ottomon State. Court records are important source for the many history of Ottoman State's life such as; family, society, law and diplomacy.The present study, Jerusalem Court Records No.190, involves the transcription and evaluation of the official correspondence sent to Jerusalem between h. 1079-1085 (c.1668-1674).There are three hundred and twenty four documents in the Jerusalem Court Records. Two hundred and nineteen of these documents are warrant, ninety four are edicts, eleven of them are letters.When looked the content of correspondences, it is understood that the content of them are related to Foundation, Timar, Non-Muslim, Madrasa, Tax,Military issues and Officials assignments.
