Çizgisel mizah; olay, olgu ve durumların eleştirel bir dille gülmece öğesini kullanarak çizgiye dökülmesidir. Çizgisel mizahın bir türü olan siyasal çizgisel mizah; ülkedeki siyasetçilerin icraatlarını, yöneten ve yönetilen arasındaki ilişkiyi sorgulamaktadır. Dolayısıyla parlamento dışında muhalefet etme görevini yerine getirmektedir. Bu çalışmada ise Türkiye'nin demokratikleşme süreci çizgisel mizah perspektifinde sosyolojik açıdan ele alınmıştır. Sürecin anlatımı, çizgisel mizah örnekleri ile desteklenmiştir. Demokratikleşme süreci olarak yedi dönem belirlenmiştir. Bu dönemler; Tek Parti Dönemi, Demokrat Parti Dönemi, 27 Mayıs 1960 Darbesi Dönemi,12 Mart 1971 Muhtırası ve 12 Eylül 1980 Darbesi Dönemi, Turgut Özal Dönemi, 28 Şubat Dönemi, Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi Dönemi'dir. Toplamda 97 adet çizgisel mizah örneğine yer verilmiştir. Çalışmada verilerin toplanmasında literatür taraması ve dokümantasyon yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Toplanan verilerin yorumlanmasında ise göstergebilimden ve söylem analizinden faydalanılmıştır. Toplanan verilerin analizinde MAXQDA Nitel Veri Analizi Programı kullanılmıştır. Caricature can be described as drawing by using the humor element with a critical language for events, cases and situations. Political caricature, a type of humor by drawing, denotes questioning the actions of politicians in a country as well as the relation between the ruler and ruled. In this way the task of opposition outside parliament is accomplished. Democratization process in Turkey has been discussed from a sociological standpoint within the perspective of caricature in this work. Narration of the process is backed through samples of humor by drawing. Seven periods have been identified as the democratization process. The cited periods include the Single Party Period, the Demokrat Parti (Democratic Party) Period, May 27, 1960 Coup Period, March 12, 1971 Memorandum and September 12, 1980 Coup Period, Turgut Özal Period, February 28 Period and the Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi (Justice and Development Party) Period. 97 samples of caricature have been provided in total. Literature search and documentation methods were employed in collection of data. Semiology and discourse analysis were utilized in interpretation of the data collected. MAXQDA Qualitative Data Analysis Software was used in analysis of the collected data. The findings of the study were also construed through usage of literature.
