Siyasal katılım iktidarın meşruiyetini sağlamak için önemli bir araçtır. Bilindiği üzere siyasal katılım yaş, cinsiyet, eğitim, meslek, gelir gibi birçok faktör tarafından etkilenmektedir. Bu faktörlerin içinde özellikle geçmişten bugüne tartışılan cinsiyet, özel bir öneme sahiptir. Cinsiyet temelinde, geleneksel toplum yapısı ve kadına atfedilen bazı olumsuz özellikler siyasal katılım davranışında farklılıklara sebep olmaktadır. Bu durum ve nedenleri birçok çalışmanın konusu olmuştur. Çalışmanın amacı cinsiyet ve siyasal katılım arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Çalışmada siyasal katılım bağımlı değişken, cinsiyet bağımsız değişkendir. Bu bağlamda çalışma, Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi'nde öğrenim görmekte olan 800 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Political participation is an important tool for ensuring the legitimacy of the power. It is known that political participation is influenced by many factors such as age, gender, education, profession, income. Among these factors gender which has long been discussed has a especial importance. On the basis of gender, traditional society structure and some negative features which is attributed to women causes differences in political participation behavior. This case and its reasons have became subject of the a lot of study. The aim of this study examines the relationship between political participation and gender. Political participation is dependent variable and gender is independent variable in this study. In this context, this study was applied between 800 students of the Suleyman Demirel University. As a result, a significant and positive relationship was found between these variables. Keywords :Gender, Man, Women, Voting, Political Participation, Representation. |
