Günümüzde sosyo-ekonomik sorunlar arasında önemli bir paya sahip olan istihdam olgusu, gençler arasında giderek büyüyen bir sorun olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Nedenleri ve sonuçları bakımından yetişkin istihdamına göre oldukça farklı unsurları bünyesinde barından genç istihdamı sorunu ile başa çıkabilmek ve genç bireyler üzerinde oluşturduğu olumsuzlukları en aza indirgeyebilmek için, sorunu ortaya çıkaran nedenlerin ve bu sorunun meydana getirdiği sonuçların çok titiz bir şekilde tespit ve analiz edilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, genel olarak gençlerin istihdam edilememesine neden olan faktörlerin ayrıntılı bir şekilde incelenmesidir. Gençlerin iş piyasasına ilk girişlerinde yaşadıkları sıkıntıların ve işverenlerden ne gibi beklentilerinin olduğunun ayrıntılı bir şekilde ele alındığı bu çalışmada ayrıca işverenlerinde gençlerden beklentileri ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın teorik bölümünde; genç ve istihdam kavramlarının teorik çerçevesi çizilmiş ve bu kavramlarla ilgili literatür taraması yapılarak, Türkiye'de ve Isparta'da genç istihdamının boyutları ve kapsamı belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır.Çalışma kapsamında derinlemesine mülakat yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bu yöntem tercih edilirken, istihdam sorununun ülke ekonomisi ve toplumsal yapıyla olan ilişkisinin daha belirgin bir şekilde irdelenmesi ve tarafların birbirlerinden beklentilerini rahatlıkla açıklayabilmesi esas alınmıştır. Kalıplaşmış sorulardan ziyade tarafların her türlü sorunlarını ifade edebilecekleri sorulara yer verilerek mülakat süreci oluşturulmuştur. Araştırma verileri sonucunda, Isparta ilinde genç istihdam sorununun önündeki engellerin ne olduğu ve gençlerin iş piyasasından beklentileriyle işverenlerin gençlerden beklentilerinin ne yönde gerçekleştiği ortaya konularak çalışma sonlandırılmıştır. The employment issue is one of the most important socia-economic problems in todays world and unemployment rate is steadily and markedly increasing in young adults. Youth unemployment problem differentiates from adult one in terms of cause effect relations and it contains different elements within it self. It should be established and analyzed delicately to overcome and to reduce harmful effects of pervasive youth unemployment over young adults. We must take on the challenge of youth unemployment and turn it into a success for the future of Turkey's young generation. The aim of this work is to focus on understanding the main drivers of youth unemployment. In addition to this this workin vestigates the challenges faced by young people in their first jobs and mutual expectations between employer and employee. Morover we focused on theoretic approachs over the concepts of young and employment and we make a literature review on it. We tried to identify dimension and scope of youth employment. İt is used in-depth interview method within the scope of this work. By using this method, parties are demanded to stress freely mutual expectations from each others. In other respects it is considered to reveal mutual interaction between social and economic situation and employment problem of Turkey. This interview method, more of stereo typed questions brings open-ended questions to the fore with which respondents could explain every kind of problems. In accordance with research report.
