Bu çalışma, Kapadokya Yöresi'nde mevcut fosil polen kayıtlarını kullanarak paleo-ortam koşullarına yönelik yapılan yorumlamalar ve çıkarımlara metodolojik olarak yeni bir yaklaşım getirmek ve bu yolla literatüre katkı yapmayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu bağlamda seçilen paleo-ortam proksi kayıtları fosil polenlerdir. Bu kayıtlardan son 2000 yıllık döneme ait yaşlandırması bulunan ve diğer kayıtlarla ortak türler barındıran kayıtlar çalışma kapsamına alınmıştır. Bu kayıtlara ait yaşlandırma verileri periyotlara ayrılmış, seçilen bitki türlerine ait polen yüzdeleri bu periyotlar için yeniden hesaplanmıştır. Amaca yönelik kullanılan yöntem ise izopolen haritaları üretim tekniğidir. Bu yöntem için CBS yazılım ve analizleri kullanılmıştır. Ters Mesafe Ağırlıklandırma tekniği ile yapılan mekânsal enterpolasyon sonucu türlere ait olası dağılış ve polenlerin taşınmış olabileceği olası alanlar değerlendirilmiştir. Bu yöntemle oluşturulan izopolen haritaları ile türlerin paleovejetasyon şartlarında hem zamansal hem de mekânsal değişimleri irdelenmiştir. Bu değişimin doğal yolla veya insan etkisi sonucunda oluştuğuna dair çıkarımlar yapılmıştır. Sonuç olarak fosil polen kayıtlarının değerlendirilmesinde ve yorumlanmasında katkı sağlayabilecek bir metot uygulaması gerçekleştirilmiştir. This study aims to make a new methodological approach to the interpretations and inferences about the paleo-environmental conditions by using the existing fossil polen records in the Cappadocia Region and contribute to the literature through this way. Selected paleo-environmental proxies in this context are fossil pollen. These records include the records of the last 2000 years of ages and common species with other records. The aging data for these records are divided into periods, and pollen fractions of selected plant species are recalculated for these periods. The method used for the purpose is isopollen map production technique. GIS software and analysis are used for this method. Possible distribution of spatial interpolation result species made by Inverse Distance Weighted technique and probable areas where pollen may have been transported are evaluated. The changes of temporal and spatial changes in the paleovementation conditions of the species were investigated with the izopolen map created by this method. Inferences have been made that this change occurs naturally or as a result of human impact. As a result, method experiment was carried out which could contribute to the evaluation and interpretation of fossil pollen records.
