Çalışmada, Azerbaycan milli hareketinin kuruluş aşamalarını ve bunun mantıksal sonucu olarak kurulmuş Azerbaycan Halk Cumhuriyeti incelenmiştir. İncelenen tarihi çerçevede 1918-1920 yılları, Türk Dünyası dâhil Müslüman âleminde ilk kez Cumhuriyet yönetim yapısına dayanan devlet, Azerbaycan Halk Cumhuriyeti kurulmuş ve faaliyet göstermiştir. Bu dönemde, Azerbaycan'ın devlet yapısının ve Azerbaycan devletçiliğinin tarihin en derin dönemlerine kadar uzanan geleneklerinin canlandırılması gibi önemli olaylar yer almış ve genç Azerbaycan Cumhuriyeti'nin çeşitli alanlardaki faaliyetleri, çöküş sebepleri ve tarihsel önemi bilimsel olarak araştırılmıştır. In the study, the phases of the establishment of the Azerbaijani national movement and the Azerbaijani People's Republic, which was established as a logical end result, were examined. The state, the Azerbaijani People's Republic, was founded and operated for the first time in the Muslim world, including the Turkish world, in the historical framework examined in 1918-1920. Important events such as the revitalization of the Azerbaijani state structure and Azerbaijani statehood's traditions dating back to the deepest periods of history took place and the activities of the young Azerbaijan Republic in various fields, the reasons for its decline and its historical significance were scientifically investigated.
