Üretilen mal ve hizmet kapasitesinde meydana gelen artış olarak tanımlanan ekonomik büyüme ile dış ticaret dengesi ve cari işlemler dengesi arasındaki ilişki, ekonominin en önemli araştırma alanlarından biridir. Bu çalışmada 1984- 2016 dönemine ait yıllık veriler kullanılarak cari işlemler dengesi ve dış ticaret dengesinin Türkiye'nin ekonomik büyümesi üzerindeki etkisini incelemek için kurulan model En Küçük Kareler (EKK) Yöntemi ile regresyona tabi tutulmuş ve birim kök testi uygulanarak analiz edilmiştir. Yapılan analiz sonucunda cari işlemler dengesinin ve dış ticaret dengesinin ekonomik büyüme üzerinde negatif etkiye sahip olduğu, dolayısı ile hem cari işlemler açığındaki artışların hem de dış ticaret açığındaki artışların büyüme oranında artışa sebep olacağı bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır. The relationship between economic growth, which is defined as the increase in the capacity to produce goods and services, and foreign trade balance and current account balance is one of the most crucial fields to be analyzed in economics. In this study in order to analyze the effect of current account balance and foreign trade balance on the economic growth of Turkey annual data set for 1984-2016 period is utilized and the data is analyzed with the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) Method and unit root tests are made. According to the findings it is determined that current account balance and foreign trade balance have negative effect on economic growth, and therefore it is found that both increases in current account balance and foreign trade balance would cause increases in economic growth.
