II. Viyana Kuşatması'ndan sonraki harp yıllarında Bosna Eyaleti kuzeyden Habsburg, güneyden ise Venedik saldırılarına maruz kalmıştır. Bu saldırılar sonucunda Bosna Eyaleti'nde birçok müstahkem kale kaybedilmiştir. Ayrıca söz konusu savaş döneminde ahali, düşman istilaları, yüksek vergiler, eşkıyalık hareketleri, yöneticilerin zulmü ve salgın hastalıklar gibi olayların etkisiyle kıtlık ve yoksulluk içinde kalmıştır. Bununla birlikte süreç içerisinde kayıpları telafi etmek, asayiş ve düzeni tekrar sağlamak için bazı önlemler alınmıştır. Buna karşın 1697 yılında Habsburgların Bosna'nın içlerine kadar akın düzenleyerek Saraybosna'yı neredeyse tamamen yakmaları eyaletin sosyal açıdan çökmesine yol açmıştır. Bu tezin amacı 1683-1699 savaşının Bosna Eyaleti'ni nasıl etkilediğini askerî ve sosyal boyutlarıyla ele alarak, söz konusu çöküntüyü ortaya koymaktır. During the years of warfare following the Second Siege of Vienna, the Province of Bosnia was exposed attacks by Habsburg from the north and by Venice from the south. As a result of these attacks, many fortified castles in Bosnia Province were lost. Moreover, the population during the said wartime fell into scarcity and poverty due to incidents such as invasions, high taxes, movements of banditry, despotism of the rulers and epidemics. Nevertheless, the fact that the Habsburgs raided deep into Bosnia and put almost the whole city of Sarajevo on fire in 1697 led the social collapse of the province. The purpose of this paper is to put this collapse forward by discussing how the war of 1683-1699 affected the Province of Bosnia from a military and social perspective.
