Spor, toplumların gücünü gösteren bir unsur olduğu için turizm sektöründe hem profesyonel hem de rekreasyon aktiviteleri açısından son yıllarda önem kazanmıştır. Bunun sonucunda yüksek irtifa merkezleri profesyonel ve rekreasyon boyutu ile hem turizm ekonomisini oluşturmuş, hem de tercih edilen alanlardan olmaya başlamıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacını, ulusal ve uluslararası yüksek irtifa kamp merkezlerinin spor turizmi açısından yönetim ve organizasyon sistemlerinin incelenmesi ve Davraz'a yeni bir model öngörüsü oluşturmaktır. Çalışmada mevcut uluslararası ve ulusal çaptaki yüksek irtifa kamp merkezleri yönetim ve organizasyon boyutları ile literatür destekli incelendi. Bununla birlikte örneklem oluşturan sınırlı katılımcılardan anket yöntemi ile de kısmi bilgi sağlandı. Çalışmamızda hem ulusal hem de uluslararası merkezlerin kullanım düzeyleri, yıl içerisindeki aktif durumları ve bu merkezleri ön plana çıkaran temel unsurlar hem kendi yönetim organizasyon boyutu ile hem de karşılaştırmalı olarak incelendi. Çalışmanın sonucunda; özellikle uluslararası yüksek irtifa merkezlerinde etkin olan yerleri uluslararası platformda güçlü kılan unsurlara dayalı olarak (biyoiklimsel konfor ve coğrafi konum itibarı ile Davraz Dağı'na nitelikli yapısal özellikler içeren saha, salon, performans labarotuarı, otel vb) yüksek irtifa kamp merkezlerinin yönetim organizasyon modelleri ile ilişkili olarak Davraz'a Yüksek İrtifa Merkezinini kurulması durumunda Uluslararası ve ulusal ölçekli önemli bir spor turizm sektörü oluşturacağı kanaatine varılmıştır. Sports has gained importance in terms of professional and recreational activities in the tourism sector in recent years as it is a factor that shows the power of the society. As a result, the high altitude centers have become both professional and recreational dimensions, as well as the tourism economy, becoming the preferred areas. The purpose of this study is to examine the management and organization systems of national and international high altitude camp centers for sports tourism and to create a new model forecast for Davraz. The current international and national high altitude camp centers in the study were examined with the management and organization dimensions and the literature supported. Partial information was also provided by the survey method from the limited participants who made the sample. In our study, the level of use of both national and international centers, the active status during the year and the main elements of these centers were examined both in terms of their management organization dimension and comparatively. At the end of the study; especially in the international high altitude centers are related to the management organization models of the high altitude camp centers based on the powerful elements that are active in the international platform (such as the field, hall, performance lab, hotel etc. which have qualified structural features in Davraz Mountain with bioclimatic comfort and geographical position reputation) Davraz was found to be an important sports tourism sector in the international and national scale in case of establishing the High Altitude Center.
