Bu tez çalışmasında, Antik Yunan felsefesi ile tragedyası arasındaki düşünsel ilişki hamartia kavramı üzerinden incelenmiş, Sophokles'in tragedyalarında hamartia kavramı değerlendirilmiştir. In this study, the intellectual relationship between the ancient Greek philosophy and the ancient Greek tragedies has exemined via the concept of hamartia in the Sophokles?s tragedies has interpreted. This study has created by the literature review. The study has consisted of three parts except introduction, evaluation and results. In the introduction; there has been the aim of the study, the content of the study and the methods of the study. Key Words: Tragedy, philosophy, mythos, hamartia (fatal flaw), fate (moria), necessitiy (ananke), moderation (sophrasune), intemperance (hybris), ignorance, tragic, conflict, action, pertragic, peripetia, anagnorsis, katarsis.
