Bu araştırmanın amacı Gaziantep ilinde günümüzde devam edilen el sanatlarını tanıtmak ve arşivlemektir. Çalışmanın materyalini, Gaziantep il merkezindeki ilgili meslek sahipleri ile meslek sahiplerine uygulanan kılavuzlu görüşme formları, konuyla ilgili daha önce yayınlanmış literatürler ve alan araştırması neticesinde elde edilen ürün örneklerinin çekilen fotoğrafları oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmada el sanatlarının genel profilini kapsayan 43 sorudan oluşan görüşme formları doldurulmuştur. Gaziantep'te halen üretimi yapılan, Antep işi el işlemeciliği, bakır işlemeciliği, kilim dokumacılığı, kutnu kumaşı dokumacılığı, toprak işleri, sedefkârlık ve yemenicilik olmak üzere 7 farklı el sanatı incelenmiştir. Bu el sanatları tanım ve tarihçeleri, kullanılan araç ve gereçler, yapım aşamaları ve yapılan ürün çeşitleri açısından ayrıntılı olarak anlatılmıştır. The aim of this search is to introduce and archiving the handcrafts which maintain their existence in Gaziantep. The materials of this search are the guided survey (meeting) forms which are applied to the members of related jobs in Gaziantep, the related literary elements which were already published, the photos of products which were obtained from the field. In those survey (meeting) forms, 43 questions which contain general aspect of existing handcrafts were replied by contributors. This research was carried out on 7 different handcrafts, existing in Gaziantep, as processing copper making, kilim weaving, kutnu cloth weaving, producing soil jars, art of nacre, Yemeni making. The definitions and histories, used tools and materials and construction phases of crafts are described in detail in terms of the kinds of products.
