Bu araştırmanın amacı, Çorum ili Kargı ilçesinin tarihi kargı bezi dokumalarını belgelemek ve özelliklerini ortaya koymaktır. Geçmiş ve günümüzde dokunan kargı bezi dokumaları teknik, renk, desen, motif ve kompozisyon özelliklerinin en iyi şekilde belirlenmesi ve belgelenmesi, gelecek kuşaklara aktarılması için çalışılmıştır. Günümüzde kargı bezi dokumaları sadece bakanlık projeleriyle ve halk eğitim merkezlerinin dokuma atölyelerinde ahşap el yapımı tezgâhlarda dokunmaktadır. Unutulmaya yüz tutmuş tarihi kargı bezi dokumalarını yok olmaya kadar götüren nedenlerin başında ekonomik nedenler ile teknoloji ve sanayinin ilerlemesi gelmektedir. Bu çalışma kapsamında bölgede bulunan kargı bezi dokumalarıyla, günümüzde dokunan kargı bezi dokumaları ayrı ayrı incelenip,literatüre kazandırılmayaçalışılmıştır. Çalışma örneklemini oluşturan dokumaların özellikleri ve dokumaların kullanım alanları belirlenerek, elde edilen veriler belgelenmiştir. Anahtar Kelimeler:Kargı bezi, Dokuma, Tezgâh, Çorum, Kargı. |

The goal of this thesis is to explore the characteristics of the historical Kargı cloth weavings in the Kargı district of Çorum. It specifically aimed to identify and document the technical, colour, pattern design and composition characteristics of kargı cloth weavings from beginning to the present in the best way to inform the future generations. Today, kargı cloth weavings are woven on wooden hand made benches either within the projects supported by the ministry or in the workshops of puplic educational centers. The leading factors of taking the kargı cloth weavings which are about to be forgotten to extinction are the economical reasons and the technological and industrial developments. In this study, it has been aimed to bring today's woven kargı cloth and the kargı cloth weavings of the region into the literature by examining each of them separately and designate the characteristics of these weavings and their fields of use.
