20. yüzyıl ile birlikte toplumsal yapıyı hızla etkileyen kültürel ve teknolojik gelişim ve artan üretimler grafik tasarım alanını da değişen toplumsal algıya ayak uydurmak zorunda bırakmıştır. Aktarılacak mesajı en etkin biçimde kitlelere ulaştırma çabası tüm sanat dallarında yeni arayışları da beraberinde getirmiştir. Bu bağlamda grafik tasarım ve görsel algı arasındaki ilişkinin bilinmesi mesajın iletilmesinde tasarım ürününe katkı sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışma, kuramsal olarak grafik tasarım ve görsel algı ilişkisi bağlamında algıyı oluşturan alt başlıklar ile temellendirilmiştir. Bu temel üzerinden değerlendirilerek seçilen örnek tasarımların görsel ve sanatsal çözümlerini açıklamak amacıyla tasarım eleman ve ilkelerinden faydalanılmıştır. Uygulama aşaması için öncelikle tarihi Frig vadisi yerleşimleri belirlenip ön araştırması yapıldıktan sonra, seçilen on bölge fotoğraflanmıştır. Çalışmada grafik tasarım-görsel algı ilişkisi, grafikte tasarım eleman ve ilkeleri bağlamında oluşturulan vektörel illüstrasyon çalışmalarının, lenticular lens üzerine serigrafi ve dijital baskı yöntemleriyle uygulanması hedeflenmiştir. Çalışma, özgün illüstrasyon ve baskı uygulamalarının ortaya konması, bölgenin tanıtım afişi olarak planlanan çalışmanın üç boyutlu algılamanın önemine vurgu yapması, serigrafi ve dijital baskı yöntemlerinin karşılaştırılması açısından önemli görülmüştür. Kuramsal çerçevede görsel algılama, görsel algıda örgütlenme, grafik tasarım sürecinde kullanılan tasarım eleman ve ilkeleri, üç boyutlu sanat ve tasarım uygulamaları ile, uygulama aşamasında on bölge ve iki baskı yöntemiyle sınırlandırılmıştır. Araştırma sayesinde, algının gerçekleşmesinde önemli yere sahip olan grafik tasarım alanında, fiziksel ve algısal olarak üç boyut algısının yaratılması, hareket ve mekân ilişkisinin malzeme ve baskı tekniği uygulamaları ile elde edilmesi ve üretimden sergilenme koşullarına kadar bir tanıtım çalışmasının tüm aşamaları ile planlanması sağlanmıştır. Bu ve benzer üç boyutlu grafik tasarım çalışmalarının, ülkemizde reklam sektörüne katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. The cultural and technological developments and the growing productions by the 20th century that rapidly affect the social structure have also obliged the field of graphic design to adopt the changing social perception. The attempt to communicate the message to be transferred to the audience in the most efficient way has brought new pursuits into all the arts as well. In this sense, being aware of the relation between graphic design and visual perception allows the design production to communicate its message.This study has been grounded on sub-headings constituting the perception in the sense of the relation between graphic design and visual perception. The design elements and principles have been used to explain both the visual and the artistic analyses of the designs chosen by commentating according to this ground. For practical stage, after deciding the residental areas of the ancient Phrygian valley and making a preliminary research, the selected ten areas have been photographed. It has been aimed in the study that the vectorial illustration works whose graphic design/visual perception relations created within the context of design elements and principles have produced by using the methods of serigraphy on lenticular lenses and digital printing. The study has been regarded important in terms of producing original illustrations and prints, emphasizing the importance of the three dimensional perception by the work planned as an advertising poster of the area, and comparing the methods of serigraphy and digital printing. Theoretically visual perception, organisation in visual perception, and the design elements and principles used during the process of graphic design have been limited to ten areas and two printing methods in the practical process with the three dimensional practices of art and design. Through the research, it has been contributed to creating physically and perceptually three dimensional sense in the field of graphic design having an important role in realizing the perception, to achieving the motion/space relation through the materials and printing methods, and to designing a presentation work along with its whole stages from production to the conditions of exhibiting. It has been considered that such studies on the three dimensional graphic design will contribute to the advertising sector in our country.
