Bu tezin amacı, tarihi boyunca pek çok kültüre ev sahipliği yapan Burdur'un kültür zenginliğinin kadın ve erkek giysilerine yansımalarını incelemektir. Çalışmanın çıkış noktası Anadolu insanının yüzyıllar boyunca halılara, kilimlere aktardığı sesini ve yüreğini renklerle, nakışlarla giysilerinde de dile getirmiş olmasıdır. Bu amaçla Burdur Müzesinde ve alan araştırmasında ulaşılabilen giysi örnekleri incelenmiş, seçilen örneklerle ilgili resim ve çizimlere yer verilmiş, ayrıca günümüzde bu konuda yapılan çalışmalara da değinilmiştir. Burdur geleneksel kadın giysileri sırta, başa ve ayağa giyilenler olmak üzere sınıflandırılabilir. Sırta giyilenler içten dışa doğru gömlek, şalvar, üçetek entari, yelek, cepken; başa giyilenler fes, çevre; ayağa giyilenler yün çorap, çarık veya ayakkabı, yemenidir. Başlıca giysi aksesuarları ise uçkur, kuşak, kemer, alınlık ve tepeliklerdir. Burdur geleneksel erkek giysileri iç gömlek, gömlek, şalvar, yelek, cepken, fes, poşu (poçu), kuşak, yün çorap, çarık veya yemenidir. Burdur geleneksel giysilerinde kumaş olarak genellikle çitari, sevai, alaca dokuma, çuha ya da kadife kullanılmış; nakış olarak da kordon tutturma, blonya iğnesi işlenmiş; iğne oyaları ve tığ oyalarıyla süslemeler yapılmıştır. Anadolu’da binlerce yıldır süregelen kültür alışverişi giysiler arasında da benzerlikler oluşturmuş, üçetek entariler, bindallılar, cepkenler, şalvarlar vb. giysiler Anadolu’nun pek çok yerinde kullanılmıştır. The aim of this thesis is to examine cultural wealth of Burdur's -which has hosted many cultures along history- reflection to the man and womans costumes. The starting point of this research that the Anatolian people have given their voices and feelings to the carpets and rugs with the colours and like this they also have given those to their costumes with embroideries. With this aim, the costume patterns which can be reached in Burdur Museum and matter researches have been examined,I have given pictures and drawings of choosen patterns and I have touched on the similar works which are maden today. The Burdur's traditional woman costumes can be classified into three groups in which the costumes are weared onto back, head and foot. In which group the costumes are weared onto back, from the inside to the outside are shirt, baggy trousers, three skirt dress, waistcoat, short jacket. And in which group the costumes are weared onto head are fez, headscarf. And in which group the costumes are weared onto foot are wool socket, rawhide sandal or shoe. And mainly wearing accesories are embroidery sash, sash, belt, headband, crown. Burdur's traditional man costumes are inner shirt, shirt, baggy trousers, waistcoat, short jacket, fez, silk head scarf, sash, wool sock, rawhide sandal or shoe. The clothes in Burdur's traditional costumes are generally striped cloth, gilt silk, cotton textile, soft textile, velvet. And as embroidery, cordon stitch, blonya needle embroidered, have maden decorations with needle pinking and bodkin. The cultural trades in Anatolia which comes from thousands years, have also composed similarities between costumes. Three skirt dresses, thousand branched, short jackets, baggy trousers etc. have been used in many regions of Anatolia.
