In our study, the gender gap which male and female candidates to be involved in the local newspapers was questioned on the assumption and gender apartheid in media was researched though the local newspapers. Placing the significance of the political communication in affecting the choices of the voters in this context, political communication and its methods have been investigated while the media touch in the political participation and representation of females have been highlighted accordingly. In the study, news with political content as well as announcements that appeared in local newspapers of Antalya and Isparta districts before and after General Elections 2007 have been examined through content analysis. |

AraĢtırmamızda, kadın ve erkek adayların yerel gazetelerde yer alıĢında cinsiyet farkı sorgulanmıĢ, medyadaki cinsel ayrımcılık yerel gazeteler üzerinden incelenmiĢtir. Bu kapsamda seçmen tercihlerini etkilemede siyasal iletiĢimin öneminden yola çıkarak, kadının siyasal katılımı ve temsilinde medya etkisi irdelenmiĢtir. ÇalıĢmada 2007 Genel Seçimlerinde Antalya ve Isparta‟daki yerel gazetelerde kadın ve erkek adaylarla ilgili yayınlanan siyasi içerikli haberler içerik analizi ile incelenmiĢtir. |
