Türkiye’de özellikle 1990’lı yılların başından itibaren borç yükünde ve kamu kesimi borçlanma gereğinde önlenemeyen artışlar yaşanmaya başlanmış, bu durum ekonomik krizlerin meydana gelmesinde önemli bir faktör olmuştur. Ülkede 1990’dan sonra yaşanan 1994 ve 2001 ekonomik krizleri kamu borç yükünün artmasına yol açmış, ekonomik krizler karşısında alınan önlemler ve uygulanan istikrar tedbirleri çoğu kez başarısız kalmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı, kriz dönemlerinde özellikle 1994 ve 2001 krizlerinde Türkiye ekonomisinin durumunun analiz edilerek, borç-kriz ilişkisinin ortaya konulmasıdır |

An unexpected increase in the debt burden and the public sector’s borrowing requirement has occured in Turkey especially after the beginning of the 1990s and this situation has been an important factor in the formation of economic crises. The 1994 and 2001 crises in Turkey, have caused an increase in the public debt burden and the precautions and the stabilization programs taken against these crises have usually failed. The aim of the study is to reveal the debt-crisis relationship in times of crisis especially in 1994 and 2001 crises by analyzing Turkey's economic situation |
