The family which constitued from mother, father and children, is the basis unit that established to society. There are rich informations about the family in the shariya registers which one of the most important resources for the researches of Ottoman social history, as well as political, economic and military cases. İn consequence a study that concerning the Turkish family in the Ottoman era will be scarce to be done that without reference to the shariya registers. Therefore, about the creation period of family in the Sandjak of Hamid in the XIX. century were made various observations and evaluations in our study, with move from the records in the Isparta shariya registers in the axix of cases like engagement, wedding and dowry |

Anne, baba ve çocuklardan oluşan aile toplumu meydana getiren temel birimdir. Osmanlı sosyal tarih araştımaları açısından en önemli kaynaklardan birisi olan şeriye sicillerinde siyasî, ekonomik ve askerî hususların yanı sıra aile hakkında da zengin veriler bulunmaktadır. Dolayısıyla şeriye sicillerine başvurmaksızın Osmanlı dönemi Türk ailesi hakkında yapılacak bir çalışma eksik kalacaktır. Bu bakımdan incelememizde Isparta şer’iyye sicillerindeki kayıtlardan hareketle XIX. yüzyılın ilk yarısında Hamid Sancağı’nda ailenin oluşum süreci hakkında nişânlılık, nikâh ve mehr gibi konular ekseninde değerlendirme ve gözlemlerde bulunulmuştur |
