Hacı Bayrâm Velî, Anadolu’nun yetiştirdiği müstesna şahsiyetlerinden biridir. Şiirleri ve yetiştirdiği talebelerinin ilmi, irfanı ve kültürü, Anadolu’nun sınırlarını aşmıştır. Şiirleri üzerine pek çok nazire ve şerhler yazılmış olan Hacı Bayrâm Veli, bilinen dört şiirinde nefsin tezkiyesi ve kalbin tasfiyesi sürecinde yaşananları, kalbin ilâhî aşkla yanışını tasavvufî dilin genel karakteristiği olan sembolik anlatımla dile getirmştir. Kalbin tasfiye sürecini anlattığı şiirinde şehir metaforuyla kalbin olgunlaşmasını bir şehrin imarına benzetmektedir
Hadji Bayrâm Veli has been one of the most extra-ordinary personalities that lived in Anatolia. His poetry and the wisdom, insight and culture of the students that he taught exceeded beyond Anatolia. Lots of annotations were written on his poems. In his four known poems, it can be seen that he stated what he had during his lower soul cleaning and hearth purity, flicking his hearth with divine love with symbolic expressions, which are the general characteristics of sufistic language. He was drawing a parallel between maturation of hearth and town planning with city metaphore in one of his poems in which he told the process of hearth purity
