Fransa’nın V. Cumhuriyet’inin kurucusu olan General Charles de Gaulle II. Dünya Savaşı’ndaki tecrübelerinden de etkilenerek bazı temel ilkeler geliştirmiş ve Fransa’nın savunma ve güvenlik politikasını bu eksende belirlemiştir. De Gaulle’ün Fransa’nın ideallerini kendi dünya görüşüyle formüle edip uygulamaya geçirmesi ve ilkelerinin ondan sonraki hükümetler tarafından da benimsenmesi Fransız tarihine damgasını vurmasını sağlamıştır. Bu çalışmada, De Gaulle’ün iktidarı süresince yerleştirdiği ilkeler ve uyguladığı güvenlik ve savunma politikası incelenmektedir |
