SMEs contribute greatly to Turkish economy with respect to import, export and national employment. Today, their problems that arise from external and internal factors such as their conceptual contexts, formations and their geographical distribution constitute an important study field. Handling the problems of SMEs bears importance to provide economical and social development as well as to reach 2023 national targets since they are the fundamental building blocks of the country‟s socioeconomic progress. With this study, by examining the problems of SMEs in the industrial district of Gebze, which provide great contribution to industrial output of the country, suggestions of owners of SMEs have been discussed. In depth interviews with the owners of SMEs registered to Gebze Chamber of Commerce and those that operate in Gebze industrial district have been conducted and analyzed by using context analysis method |

İthalat, ihracat ve ulusal istihdam anlamında Türkiye ekonomisine önemli katkıları olan KOBİ‟lerin kavramsal içerikleri, kuruluşları, içinde bulundukları coğrafi konum gibi içsel ve dışsal faktörler nedeniyle yaşadıkları sorunlar günümüzde ciddi bir çalışma sahasını oluşturmaktadır. Ülkemizin sosyo-ekonomik gelişimi için temel yapı taşlarından birini oluşturan KOBİ‟lerin sorunlarının çözümü, gerek ekonomik ve sosyal gelişimin sağlanabilmesi, gerekse belirlenen 2023 hedeflerine ulaşmada önem arz etmektedir. Bu çalışma ile sanayide ülke ekonomisine büyük katkı sağlayan Gebze bölgesindeki KOBİ‟lerin sorunları incelenerek, KOBİ sahiplerinin sorunlara yönelik sundukları çözüm önerileri değerlendirilmektedir. Çalışmada Gebze bölgesinde faaliyet gösteren ve Gebze Ticaret Odası‟na kayıtlı KOBİ sahipleriyle yapılan mülakatlar içerik analizi yöntemiyle analiz edilmektedir |
