1941 yılındayayımladığı “Dünya İşleri” adlı şiir kitabıyla edebiyat dünyasına giren SalahBirsel, Birinci Yeni şiirinden oldukça etkilenir. 1955’ten sonra ise İkinciYeni akımına yakın duran şair, Nazım Hikmet’in etkisiyle toplumcu gerçekçiliğeyönelir. Şiirde sürekli yenilik ve değişim peşindedir. Birinci Yeni’nin onunşiirlerindeki en büyük etkisi ironi ve yergidir. Birsel’in şiirlerinde zamanzaman absürde varan ironi ve yergi, değişen ve yenilenen şiir anlayışında tekdeğişmeyen özelliktir. Şair, toplumsal ve bireysel olay ya da durumlarıeleştirel bir yaklaşımla ele alır. İdareciden memura, çiftçiden esnafa,köylüden kentliye geniş bir alanda gördüğü aksaklıkları ironik bir dilleeleştirir. Şiirlerinin yüzeysel yapısında bazen kapalı bir anlatımı, imgeleritercih eden Birsel, ağız özelliği gösteren ya da tamamen kendisinin ürettiğikelimeler ve toplumcu bir bakış açısı ile olay ve olgulara yaklaşır. Gerekülkenin içinde bulunduğu siyasî ve toplumsal yapı gerekse modernizmin etkisiile çalkantılı bir dönemde o, söylenmeyeni, dikkat edilmeyeni bulup çıkartır.İroni ile söylenmeyen ya da söylenemeyeni en sade, net ifadelerle ortaya koyar.Birsel, eleştirdiği toplumsal ya da bireysel olay ve olgulara karşı ironi veyergiye sığınır. Şairin toplumsal ahlak, değer yargıları konusunda değişmeyenedaha doğru bir ifade ile değişmemesi gerekene olan tutkusu onun yergilerinintemel nedenidir. Birsel, ironi ve yergi ile toplum karşısında kendinikonumlandırır. Bu çalışmada şairin bütün şiirleri incelenerek özellikle toplumsalkonularda yaptığı eleştiriler ironi ve yergi teknikleri açısındandeğerlendirilecektir. |

SalahBirsel, who first appeared in the literary world with his work "WorldAffairs" in 1941, is quite influenced by the First New vein. After 1955,the poet, standing close to the Second New vein, is oriented towards socialistrealism by the influence of Nazım Hikmet. His poetry is constantly pursuinginnovation and change. The greatest influence of the First New vein in hispoems is irony and and satire. The irony and satire, sometimes absurd, inBirsel's poems is the only unchanging characteristic in his changing andre-created undestanding of poetry. He takes a critical approach to social andindividual affairs or situations and he ironically criticizes the disruptionsin a wide range of society from ruler to the officer, from farmer to tradesman,from rural to the urban people. Preferring a cryptic way of expression andimages now and then, Birsel, views affairs and events through a socialiststandpoint and uses words that bear language fetures or created totally byhimself. He digs and reveals the unspoken and unattended in the turbulentperiod with the effect of modernization and in the political and socialstructure of the country. He reveals the simplest, clearest expressions that isnot or can not be said. He turns to irony and satire against social andindividual affairs and events he criticizes. His passion for the unchanging-orwhat should not be changed- in terms of value judgments and social morality isthe main reason of his criticism. Birsel positions himself, with irony andsatire, positions himself against the society. This paper analyzes the all hispoems and evaluates his criticism mainly against social affairs through ironyand satire techniques. |
