Nowadaysit is thought that values are some kind of relative concepts that varies from person toperson and that what determines the value of a person is up to the people who evaluate,so value of a person is not something that belongs to the person, but somethingthat is attributed to the person by others according to circumstances. In thisstudy, the roots of that thought is going to be inquired in Hobbes’s philosophyand his opinion about the value of a person and concepts of good, power, happinessare going to be asserted. On the other hand, those opinions of Hobbes andKucuradi’s opinions that values are not relative concepts but humane possibilitiesthat can be put into practice and can be approached as an object of philosophicalknowledge are going to be compared and itis going to be brought into question that which one of them can be helpful for determiningand solving the human problems of today’s world. |

Günümüzde değerlerinkişiden kişiye değişebilen birtakım göreceli kavramlar oldukları ve bununlailişkisinde, bir kişinin değerini belirleyen şeylerin o kişiyideğerlendirenlere bağlı olduğu; dolayısıyla kişinin değerinin o kişiye ait birşey olmaktan çok, o anki koşul ve durumlara göre o kişiye yüklenen bir şeyolduğu düşüncesi hakimdir. Bu çalışmada bu düşüncenin Hobbes felsefesindekikökleri araştırılacak, iyi, mutluluk ve güç kavramlarıyla ilişkisinde birkişinin değeri hakkındaki görüşü ortaya konulacaktır. Diğer taraftan,Hobbes’un bu düşünceleri ileKuçuradi’nin değerlerin göreceli olmadığını, aksine bazı kişilerce hayatageçirilebilen ve hakkında felsefi bilgiye ulaşılabilen bir takım insansalolanaklar olduğunu savunan görüşü karşılaştırılacak ve günümüzde karşılaştığımız insansalsorunların saptanmasında ve çözüm yollarının araştırılmasında bu görüşlerdenhangisinin bizler için yol gösterici olabileceği tartışılacaktır. |
