dc.description In this study, ion dynamics in a Paul trap which is based on an electrostatic trap has been investigated. Paul trap is based on feeding of quadrupole electrodes with combination of DC and AC voltage. To achieve trap the ion, Mathieu stability parameters that are inside the stability criteria of Mathieu differential equation is used. Three dimensional motions inside the quadruple trap of single ion have been examined by a simulation code. Furthermore how ion oscillation is changed by hexapole contribution is investigated
dc.description Özet: Bu çalışmada, iyonları elektrostatik tuzaklamaya dayalı Paul tuzağı içindeki iyon dinamikleri incelenmiştir. Paul tuzağı DC ve AC gerilim kombinasyonu ile kuadrupol elektrotların beslenmesi temeline dayanmaktadır. İyonların tuzaklanmaları için Mathieu diferansiyel denkleminin kararlılık sınırları içinde kalanboyutsuz Mathieu parametreleri kullanılması gerekir. Tek iyonun üç boyutta hareketi kuadrupol tuzak içinde simülasyon programı yardımıyla incelenmiştir. Ayrıca hexapol katkıların tuzak içerisinde iyon salınımlarını nasıl değiştireceği incelenmiştir.
