Abstract: Hemoglobinopaties which have an important place in genetic diseases are known a serious health problem in many countries. Turkey is located in world migration and business band and to be able to determine abnormal hemoglobinopaties, abnormal hemoglobines searching has been made especially in Mediterranean Sea region and the mainly in the cities located sea side. At the result of literature research, it was observed that there is no scientific proof about determination of mutation types by using molecular techniques in Erzurum. In this study was made with 3520 blood samples. The results of hemoglobin electrophoresis (acid, base agarose and celulose acetate) show that the existing and percentage kinds of abnormal hemoglobin's are HbAS, HbS, HbD, HbWood, HbMalmo and HbN in region. |

Özet: Genetik hastalıklar içinde önemli bir yere sahip olan anormal hemoglobinler pek çok ülkede önemli bir sağlık sorunu olarak bilinmektedir. Dünya göç ve ticaret yolları üzerinde bulunan Türkiye´de anormal hemoglobinleri belirlemek amacıyla özellikle Akdeniz bölgesinde ve çoğunluğu kıyı şeridinde yer alan bazı illerde tarama çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Yapılan literatür araştırmaları sonucunda ise Erzurum ve çevresinde daha önce, bu tip bir tarama yapıldığına dair bulguya rastlanmamıştır. Bu çalışma 3520 tane kan numunesi ile yapılmıştır. Bölgemizdeki anormal hemoglobinleri belirlemek için yapılan hemoglobin elektroforezleri (asidik, bazik agaroz ve selüloz asetat) ile HbAS, HbS, HbD, HbWood, Hb Malmo ve HbN hemoglobin türlerinin varlığı ve oranları belirlenmiştir. |
