This study aims to understand the architectural design language of multistorey hospital structures in the context of space, perception and cognition. Based on social aspects of spatial configuration of hospital structures to mathematical foundations, the study aims to assess the impact on the users and to improve conceptual proposals for providing inputs into the design of new hospitals. This study utilized from space syntax method that developed as a dynamic theory of spatial analysis, from the visibility graph analysis techniques that can be done the comparison in this way with that spatial method and from the observational methods for providing input to these analysis. The SDÜ hospital was selected as a case study area and the study was carried out on three main lines impending density in the space, movement in the space and spatial configuration. As a result of the study; users feel lost in space they were preferred areas showing high connectedness and integration, and reflected these areas into their observed individual drawings. It was also observed that both syntactic and non-syntactic features have a significant impact on users |

Bu çalışma, çok-katlı karmaşık hastane yapılarının mimari tasarım dilini mekan, algı ve biliş bağlamında anlamayı amaçlamaktadır. Hastane yapılarındaki mekansal konfigürasyonun sosyal yönünü matematiksel temellere dayandırarak kullanıcı üzerindeki etkilerini değerlendirmeyi ve yeni hastane tasarımlarına girdi sağlayacak kavramsal öneriler geliştirmeyi hedeflemektedir. Dinamik bir mekansal analiz kuramı olarak geliştirilen mekansal dizim (space syntax) yönteminden, bu mekansal yöntemle karşılaştırma yapılabilecek görünürlük grafi analiz tekniklerinden ve bu analizlere girdi sağlayacak gözlemsel yöntemlerden faydalanılmıştır. Örneklem alanı olarak SDÜ Hastanesi seçilmiş ve çalışma mekandaki yoğunluk, mekandaki hareket ve mekansal konfigürasyon (yapılandırma) olmak üzere üç ana hat üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Kullanıcıların mekanda kaybolduğunu hissettiği anlarda hem bütünleşme hem de bağlantılığı yüksek alanları tercih ettiği ve bu alanları bireysel çizimlerine yansıttığı izlenmiştir. Ayrıca hem dizimsel hem de dizimsel olmayan özelliklerin kullanıcılar üzerinde önemli etkilere sahip olduğu gözlenmiştir. |
