The olive plant has been an important source of nutrition and medicine of the Mediterranean. In this study it is aimed to design a textile product conserve oleuropein compound as a medical textile. Oleuropein was used in different concentrations with different cross-linker and applied to cotton fabric by pad-drycure method. FTIR-ATR and SEM were used to examine the presence of the oleuropein on the cotton fabrics. The oleuropein applied cotton fabrics antimicrobial activity test was performed against both gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus and gram-negative Escherichia coli bacteria. The durability of the antimicrobial activity of cotton fabrics was tested after 10 washing cycles at 40 °C for 30 min. Tensile strength tests of the fabrics were performed to evaluate the effect of oleuropein solution pH value changes. Akdeniz insanları için zeytin bitkisi beslenme ve tıp alanlarında önemli bir kaynak olmuştur. Bu çalışmada medikal bir tekstil ürünü için oleuropein bileşiği içeren bir tekstil ürününün tasarımı amaçlanmıştır. Farklı konsantrasyonlarda ve farklı çapraz bağlayıcılar kullanılarak, oleuropein pamuklu kumaşlara emdirme yöntemine göre uygulanmıştır. Pamuklu kumaşların üzerinde oleuropein maddesinin varlığını kanıtlamak amacıyla FTIR-ATR ve SEM analizleri yapılmıştır. Oleuropein aplikasyonu yapılan pamuklu kumaşların antimikrobiyal etkinlik testleri hem gram-pozitif Staphylococcus aureus ve hem de Escherichia coli gram-negatif bakterilerine karşı gerçekleştirilmiştir. Pamuklu kumaşların antimikrobiyal etkinliklerinin dayanımı, 40 0C'de 30 d.'lık tekrarlı10 yıkama işleminden sonra test edilmiştir. Oleuropein çözeltisinin pH değeri değişimlerinin etkisini belirlemek için kopma mukavemeti testleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. Kumaşların hava geçirgenliği ve beyazlık dereceleri oleuropein uygulama öncesi ve sonrasında test edilmiştir. |
