Özerdemoğlu, Bumin Dündar Özet Yenidoğan septik artiriti nadir görülür fakat ciddi bir durumdur. Genellikle hastane kaynaklı enfeksiyonlarla ilişkilidir ve eklemlerin sık muayenesi ile erken teşhis, acil tedavi ve hastane kaynaklı enfeksiyonların kontrolü hastalığın tedavisi için önemlidir. Burada yüksek ateş nedeniyle birden fazla merkezde tedavi görmüş ve invaziv girişimlere maruz kalması neticesinde hastane kaynaklı enfeksiyon gelişen 24 günlük bir olgunun tedavisi sırasında ortaya çıkan sorunların tartışılması amaçlanmıştır. Hasta kliniğimizde tedavi edilmeden önce diğer tedavi kurumlarında verilen tedavi protokollerini tamamlamamıştı. Sol dizden alınan kültürde hastane kaynaklı bir enfeksiyonu düşündüren klebsiella üremesi nedeniyle hastaya drenaj, antibiyoterapi ve rehabilitasyon uygulanmış ve iyi netice alınmıştır. Abstract Septic Arthritis in Newborn Period: A Case Report Neonatal septic arthritis is uncommon but a serious condition. It is usually related to nosocomial infection and early diagnosis by frequent examination of the joints, prompt treatment and control of nosocomial infection are important for the management. The goal of this case report is to discuss the error and difficulties during the course of treatment of a 24 days old newborn who was treated at different medical centers due to fever, and developed a nosocomial infection, possibly due to invasive procedures performed during his admittance. The patient did not complete any of the treatment protocols given at outside hospital before he was treated at our clinic. Cultures of left knee were positive for klebsiella that indicated a nosocomial infection. A good result was obtained with drainage, antibiotherapy, and rehabilitation.
