dc.description A rarely case with bilateral double middle choncaA 34-year-old female with bilateral double middle turbinates was presented by a rare case. As an interestingand a rare case, double middle turbinate may be a cause of allergic rhinitis symptoms. Endoscopic sinusexamination and coronal CT reveals turbinates and lateral nasal wall anomalies. We believe that detailedknowledge of anatomical anomalies in the sinonasal tract is critical for successful clinical management andimportant in allowing the surgeon to perform safe functional endoscopic sinus surgery and not to performneedless surgery to ostiomeatal complex
Anahtar Kelimeler: Burun tıkanıklığı; konka; nazal varyasyonA 34-year-old female with bilateral double middle turbinates was presented by a rare case. She had a runny nose, itching, headache and sneezing. She had no allergies on in- vitro allergy tests. On examination she had double middle chonchas on both side of the nose, which confirmed by coronal computed tomography scan. All of her sinuses were normal on computed tomography. As it is an interesting and a rare case. Double conchae may be a cause of allergic rhinitis symptoms. The secondary middle turbinate is an entity of which the functional endoscopic sinus surgeon should be aware.Endoscopic sinus examination and coronal CT reveals turbinates and lateral nasal wall anomalies. We believe that detailed knowledge of anatomical anomalies in the sinonasal tract is critical for successful clinical management and important in allowing the surgeon to perform safe functional endoscopic sinus surgery and not to perform needless surgery to ostiomeatal unit.Key Words: Nasal obstruction, chonca, nasal variation
