SüleymanDemirel Üniversitesi TIP FAKÜLTESİ DERGİSİ: 1996 Eylül; 3(3) Geç Epilepsi: 100 Olgu AnaliziSüleyman KUTLUHAN Levent AYKUTÖzetKütahya Devlet Hastanesinde yapılan bu çalışmada; geç epilepsi tanısı alan 100 hasta değerlendirilmiştir. Etyolojik olarak; kardiovasküler hastalıklar 14, intrakranial kitle 11, kafa travması 10, serebrovasküler hastalık 9, metabolik bozukluk 6, geçirilmiş havalesiz ağır enfeksiyon beş ve alkol alışkanlığı iki olguda ve birer olguda da kongenital anomali, lösemi ve Behçet Hastalığı saptanmıştır. Kesin neden saptayamadığımız 40 olgu en büyük grubu oluşturmuştur. Nöbetlerin daha çokprimer veya sekonder generalize tonik - klonik tipte ortaya çıktığı dikkatimizi çekmiştir(64 olgu-%64). Antiepileptik tedaviye cevabın genel olarak iyi olup beyin tümörü olan hastalarda tıbbı tedavinin yetersiz kaldığı gözlenmiştir. Anahtar kelime : Geç epilepsi. AbstractLate Onset Epilepsy : Analysis Of 100 CasesA hundred patients diagnosed as late onset epilepsy at Kütahya State Hospital were follovved up andevaluated retrospectively. The number of patients and types of seizures evaluated accordîng totheir etiology were as follows : 14 cardiovascular disease, 11 intracranial mass , 10 head trauma, 9cerebrovascular disease, 6 metabolic disorder, flve serious infection \vithout convulsion, two alcoholism,öne congenital anpmaly, öne leukemia and öne Behçet's disease. However a group of 40 cases withunknown etiology made up the greatest group. it was striking that the types of seizures vverepredominantly primary and secondary generalized tonic - clonic ones (64 cases - %64). Almost ali seizures responded \vell to knovm antiepileptic treatment, except the ones with brain tumors, which responded ineffectively.Key word: Late onset epilepsy |
