Birçok hastalığa eşlik edebilen BA'na tanı koymada ve tedavisini planlamada klinik politikalar belirlemek önemlidir. Anamnez ve fizik muayene bulgu- ları tanısal testlerin seçiminde yol gösterici olurken, yapılan testlerin doğrultusunda farklı tedavi protokolleri belirlenmelidir.
