Aydın, Gülsen Olgun ÖzetBu çalışmanın amacı, sağlıklı çocukları olan ve sigara içmeyen annelerde anne sütü verme eğilimi¬nin yaş, eğitim düzeyi, sosyo-ekonomik düzey ve mesleğe göre dağılımını yapmaktır. İsparta Ana-Çocuk Sağlığı ve Aile Planlaması (AÇSAP) Merkezine Mart-Nisan 2000 tarihleri arasında başvu¬ran 210 annenin arasından sigara içmeyen ve sağlıklı çocuğu olan 151 anneyle görüşüldü. Hepsi¬nin eğitim durumu, sosyo-ekonomik düzeyi, mesleği, çocuk sayısı araştırıldı. Anne sütü verme eğili minin bu parametrelere göre dağılımı yapıldı. 15! annenin 90 tanesi ilkokul mezunu ve 117'si ev ha¬nımı idi. 20-29 yaş arası anne sayısı 101, 30 39 yaş arası 43, 40 yaş üstü anne sayısı ise 7 idi. Ço¬ğu anne sosyo-ekonomik düzeyini orta olarak tanımladı. 1-2 çocuğu olan anne sayısı 112, 3-4 çocu¬ğu olan anne sayısı ise 39 olarak belirlendi. Anne sütü verme eğiliminin eğitim düzeyi, sosyoekonomik düzey, yaş ve mesleğe göre değişip değişmediğini araştırdık. Tüm dünyada bu tur çalışma¬lar yapılarak, daha fazla anne sütü verilebilmesinin yolları araştırılmaktadır. Bu araştırmanın daha ayrıntılı çalışmalar için yol gösterici olacağını umuyoruz. Anahtar Kelimeler: Anne sütü, bebek beslenmesi, sosyoekonomik düzey Abstract Breastfeeding Ratios Due To Age, Educational And Social Statues The aim of tlıis study is to evaluate tlıe rate of breastfeeding and alterations of it due to age, social and educational statues ofthe mothers. 210 mothers were interviewed in Mother- Child Çare Cen-ter in İsparta, Turkey. 151 non-smoker mothers who had healthy infants were evaluated for tlıis study. They were asked about tlıeir stat us, ages and jobs (housewife ör not). They were also asked about weaning period. Most of them were housewives who graduated froın primary schools. The mothers who had never breastfed, were also tlıe sanıe. The ratio of breastfeeding is ınuch ınore in tlıe well-educated and. high socio-econornical group. Identifying tlıe ratios of breastfeeding can gıı-ide us for tlıe breastfeeding policy and also for educating tlıe mothers. in the low-outcome group, we can make tlıe ratio higher by educating them. in ınany studies, these were shown. in our study, the results show that, in well- educated and high social group breastfeeding rate is high, too. The se results are nearly the same as in other countries. If low socioeconoınicai group can be educated, children will get sııfficient amoıınt of lactation, so that, ınorbidity and mortality can be reduced.
