In this case report a case is presented with skeletal class III malocclusion which were treated with proper planned orthognatic surgery and orthodontic treatment. Our patient was a girl with 16 years, 3 months of chronologic and Ru period of skeletal age. A concave soft tissue profile and Class III molar relation was detected in extraoral and intraoral examination. Cephalometric evaluation revealed a significant Class III skeletal discrepancy (ANBº= -6). Presurgical orthodontics involved decompensation of incisor inclinations. Surgical operation was performed under general anesthesia with Lefort I downfracture technique. Maxilla were advanced 8 mm and fixed with rigid internal fixation. Post-surgical orthodontic treatment involved final positioning of the teeth and settling the occlusion. At the end of the treatment, Class I dental and skeletal occlusion and a straight soft tissue profile were achieved.Keywords: Orthognatic Surgery, Class III, Maloclusion |

Bu olgu raporunda; kronolojik olarak 16 yıl 3 ay ve iskeletsel gelişim olarak Ru döneminde olan, iskeletsel sınıf III maloklüzyon gösteren kız hastaya uygulanan bir olguda ortognatik cerrahi ve ortodontik tedavinin uygun planlanması ile elde edilen sonuçlar gösterilmiştir. Hastamızın, extraoral muayenede konkav bir profile sahip olduğu, intraoral muayenede ise sağ ve sol kanin ve molar ilişkilerinin sınıf III olduğu görülmüştür. Sefalometrik incelemede şiddetli iskeletsel sınıf III uyumsuzluk tespit edilmiştir (ANBº= -6). Cerrahi tedavi öncesi ortodontik tedavi ile keser inklinasyonları dekompanze edilmiştir. Genel anestezi altında Lefort 1 downfracture tekniği ile yapılan cerrahi operasyon ile maksilla 8mm ileri alınmış ve rijit fiksasyonla sabitlenmiştir. Cerrahi sonrası yapılan ortodontik tedavi ile dişler uygun konumlarına getirilerek okluzyon düzeltilmi ve tedavi sonunda iskeletsel ve dişsel sınıf I ilişki ile düz bir yumuşak doku ilişkisi elde edilmiştir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Ortognatik cerrahi, Sınıf III, Maloklüzyon |
