dc.description Accuired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is first defined in 1981 and is being spread widely all over the world during recent years. Oral manifestations are the earliest and most important indicators of HIV infection. It is stil unclear why oral mucosal findings were the initial indicators of the HIV infection. Oral candidiasis, hairy leukoplakia, Kaposi sarcoma, ulcerations, herpes simplex, papilloma and periodontal diseases are strongly associated with HIV(+) patients respectively. Updated information about oral mucosa lesions associated with HIV(+) patients presented in this review.
AbstractAccuired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is first defined in 1981 and is being spread widely all over the world during recent years.
