In order to have a computational fluid dynamics analysis of a swimming squid a numerical model is required. To overcome the difficulty of modeling anatomic structures a methodology is developed. Several squids are scanned using computed tomography. The obtained computed tomography scans are used to identify the segments, which were rendered in 3D using modeling software to reconstruct the geometry afterwards. For the flow analysis, only the outer surface of the squid is needed to model the boundaries. Using simplification algorithms the Stereolitographic surface mode of the squid is smoothed. Around the final surface an envelope is created to model the boundary effects. Finally the surface is enclosed in an sufficiently large prismatic box |

Bir kalamarın yüzmesinin hesaplamalı akışkanlar dinamiği analizi için bir sayısal model gereklidir. Anatomik yapıların modellenmesindeki zorlukları aşmak için bir metodoloji geliştirildi. Birkaç kalamar bilgisayarlı tomografi ile tarandı. Elde edilen bilgisayarlı tomografi imajları ile ilgili bölgeler tespit edildi, ve üç boyutlu geometri oluşturmak üzere kullanıldı. Akış analizi için sınırları belirlenmesi için kalamarın dış yüzeyi yeterlidir. Stereolitografik yüzey basitleştirme algoritmaları ile yumuşatıldı. Elde edilen yüzeyin etrafı kapatılarak çözüm bölgesi elde edildi ve sınır şartları uygulandı. |
