Today, rapid advancement in technology brings with together occurrence of rapid changes in electronic sector. These changes in electronic sector show their effects at most in computer systems. This affect is first appeared in the requirement of being portable of desktop computers. This need has provided the development of laptops and after this; the dimensions of the portable computers have been further reduced. Tablet technology has emerged with the increasing need of sleek and slim computer by this way. As technology increases, complex product functions increase it has taken time to take advantage of tablet technologies for active users. This situation also affects product usability. Different tablet brands are compared in terms of their usability in this study. In this context, five decision makers (DMs) evaluate six different tablet brands. Nine criteria are considered as the strength of the screen, the effectiveness of the warning system, weight, ease of operation, full charging time, battery life, processing speed, photo and video image quality, orientation event for the next operation in usability comparisons. To determine the weight of the criteria SWARA (Step-wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis), to rank the alternatives COPRAS (Complex Proportional Assessment) are implemented. According to criteria weights obtained from SWARA, the most important usability criterion is found to be strength of the screen with the value of 0,41. In addition, it is identified that the first tablet brand is preferred at first rank. |

Günümüzde teknolojinin hızla ilerlemesi, elektronik sektöründe de hızlı değişimlerin yaşanmasını beraberinde getirmektedir. Sektörde yaşanan bu değişimler en çok bilgisayar sistemlerinde etkisini göstermektedir. Bu etki ilk olarak masaüstü bilgisayarların taşınabilir olması ihtiyacı ile ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu ihtiyaç, dizüstü bilgisayarların geliştirilmesini sağlamış ve sonrasında taşınabilir bilgisayarların ebatları daha da küçültülmüştür. Bununla birlikte, kullanıcılar tarafından zarif ve ince bilgisayarlara ilişkin ihtiyacın artmasıyla tablet teknolojisi ortaya çıkmıştır. Teknoloji seviyesi arttıkça ürün fonksiyonları karmaşıklaştığı için tablet teknolojilerinden kullanıcıların etkin olarak yararlanabilmesi zaman almıştır. Bu durum ürün kullanılabilirliğini de etkilemektedir. Bu çalışmada farklı tablet markalarının kullanılabilirlik açısından karşılaştırılması yapılmıştır. Altı farklı tablet markası beş karar verici tarafından değerlendirilmiştir. Tablet markalarının değerlendirilmesinde ekranın sağlam olması, uyarı sisteminin etkinliği, hafif olması, işletim kolaylığı, şarj dolum süresinin kısa olması, şarj ömrünün uzun olması, işlem hızı, fotoğraf ve video görüntü kalitesi, bir sonraki işlem için yönlendirme etkinliği olmak üzere dokuz kriter dikkate alınmıştır. Kriter ağırlıklarının belirlenmesinde SWARA (Step-wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis), alternatiflerin sıralanmasında ise COPRAS (Complex Proportional Assessment) kullanılmıştır. SWARA ile elde edilen, kriter ağırlıklarına göre, en önemli kullanılabilirlik kriteri, 0.41 oranı ile ekranın sağlam olması olarak bulunmuştur. Ayrıca birinci tablet markasının ilk sırada tercih edildiği belirlenmiştir. |
