Bozüyük, anindustrial city attached to Bilecik today, has an important historical pastfrom the foundation of the Ottoman Empire until the years of national struggle.The district, which was located on the highway route until the railway line wasopened, was a center used by the Ottomans as a point of accommodation whentraveling to the eastern expeditions. The mosque, which was built by KasımPasha in the first half of the 16th century, was the reason of the existence ofBozüyük city today. The only building that keeps its authenticity from thecomplex to the present day is the mosque. The mosque, which has a simplearchitecture from the outside, has a rich ornamentation program. In this article,the decorations of the mosque are handled in detail and drawings andphotographs related to the decorations are given. |

Günümüzde Bilecik’e bağlı bir sanayi kentiolan Bozüyük, Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nun kuruluşundan milli mücadele yıllarınakadar önemli bir tarihi geçmişe sahiptir. Demiryolu hattının açılmasına kadarkara yolu güzergâhında bulunan ilçe, Osmanlının doğu seferlerine çıkarkenkonaklama noktası olarak kullandığı bir merkez konumundaydı. 16. yüzyılın ilk yarısında KasımPaşa tarafından buraya yaptırılan külliye, günümüzdeki Bozüyük şehrinin varlıksebebi olmuştur. Külliyeden günümüze orijinalliğini koruyarak gelen tek yapıcami kısmıdır. Dışardan sade bir mimarisi olan caminin içinde zengin birsüsleme programı bulunmaktadır. Bumakalede, caminin süslemeleri detaylı bir şekilde ele alınarak süslemelerleilgili çizim ve fotoğraflara yer verilmiştir. |
