Originalscientific contributions of Carl Gustav Jung, a psychophysiologist, such aspsychological typing, theory of complexes and word association test are stillpresent in the current psychology and psychiatry. Jung calls the legacy whichcontinues to exist from the past to the present and is present in thecollective unconscious of each human being archetype. He emphasizes thateverybody inherits this legacy which can be considered as the first model.Persona and Shadow are among the most important archetypes in Carl GustavJung's collective unconscious theory. While persona is defined as a mask wornby the person towards the outside world, shadow is defined as the first selfwhich is suppressed outside consciousness because it is not welcomed by human,society and civilization. This article will primarily attempt to define Jung'spersona and shadow archetypes, then to interpret the relationship between thesearchetypes and Alan Strang, Kuheylan's main character. |

Tıpve psikiyatri kökenli bir ruh çözümlemecisi olan Carl Gustav Jung'un,psikolojik tiplemeler, kompleksler teorisi ve sözcük çağrışım testi gibi özgünbilimsel katkıları günümüz psikolojisi ve psikiyatrisi içinde hâlâ yerinikorumaktadır. Jung, geçmişten günümüze varlığını sürdüren ve her insanın kenditabiriyle kolektif bilinçdışında yatan mirasa arketip adını verir. İlk örnek,ilk model olarak görülebilecek bu mirası herkesin taşıdığını vurgular. Personave Gölge, Carl Gustav Jung’un kolektif/ortak bilinç dışı kuramında yer alanönemli arketipler arasındadır. Persona; kişinin dış dünyaya karşı taktığı maskeolarak tanımlanırken, gölge; insan, toplum ve medeniyet tarafından hoşkarşılanmadığı için bilinç dışına bastırılan ilk benlik olarak tanımlanır. Bu makaleöncelikle Jung’un persona ve gölge arketiplerini tanımlamaya, daha sonra buarketiplerin Küheylan’ın başkarakteri Alan Strang ile olan ilişkisinianlamlandırmaya çalışacaktır. |
