The nineteenth century was a period when innovations started in the art during the Ottoman Empire. In this period, many artists came to Istanbul from the West with Orientalism impact. Italian artists Preziosi, Mango and Zonaro were amoung them. The artists created immortal works of art in Istanbul where they depicted every situation of Istanbul people. The aim of this research is to explain the fabric, model and adornment properties of the ninteenth century Istanbul woman clothing that was depicted in the artists' paintings. The paintings in which the properties of the Ottoman woman clothing that was reflected in Orientalist artists Preziosi, Zonaro and Mango's paintings that would be thought more precious than photographs in the nineteenth century have been discussed according to literature in our topic concept. |

XIX. yüzyıl, Osmanlı İmparatorluğunda sanat alanında yenileşmenin başladığı bir dönemdir. Bu dönemde Oryantalizm etkisi ile İstanbul'a Batıdan pek çok sanatçı gelmiştir. Bunların arasında İtalyan ressamlar Preziosi, Mango ve Zonaro yer alır. Sanatçılar, İstanbul'da halkın her halini resmederek günümüze ulaşan ölümsüz eserler yaratmışlardır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, söz konusu sanatçıların tablolarında betimlenen XIX. yüzyıl İstanbul kadın giyimlerinin kumaş, model ve süsleme özelliklerini ortaya koymaktır. Oryantalist ressamlardan Amadeo Preziosi'nin, Fausto Zonaro ve Leonardo de Mango'nun, XIX. yüzyıl fotoğraflarından daha değerli olarak kabul edilebilecek, Osmanlı kadın giyim özelliklerinin yansıdığı tabloları, literatür bilgisi ile konumuz kapsamında yorumlanmıştır.Anahtar sözcükler: Preziosi, Zonaro, Mango, kadın giyimi.
