Bireyin, içinde yaşadığı toplumda mutluolabilmesi için bazı değerlere sahip olması gerekmektedir. Bu değerlerin enönemlilerinden biri de hoşgörüdür. Hoşgörü değerinin öğretilmesi vetopluma yaygınlaştırılması eğitim sayesinde daha da kolay hale gelecektir. Buanlamda öğretmenlere ve öğretmen adaylarına önemli görevler düşmektedir.Öğretmen adaylarının mesleğe henüz başlamadan hoşgörülü olma eğiliminde olmasıve göreve başladığında da bunu sağlıklı bir şekilde öğrenciye hissettirebilmesideğer eğitimi açısından önem arz etmektedir. Bu bağlamda araştırmanın amacı,öğretmen adaylarının hoşgörülü olma düzeylerinin belirlenmesi ve çeşitli değişkenler(cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi, okuduğu bölüm, yaşadığı coğrafi bölge) açısındanincelenmesidir. Araştırma, nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden betimseltarama modeline göre yapılandırılmış ve Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi EğitimFakültesinde öğrenim görmekte olan 195 öğretmen adayı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir.Araştırmada veriler, Çalışkan ve Sağlam tarafından geliştirilen hoşgörü eğilimölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. 18 maddeden oluşan ölçek beşli likert tipinegöre hazırlanmıştır. Ölçekte “1” Hiç uygun değil, “2” Uygun değil, “3” Birazuygun, “4” Uygun, “5” Tamamen uygun şeklinde numaralandırılmıştır. Araştırmasonucunda, öğretmen adaylarının hoşgörülü olma düzeyleri yaşadıkları coğrafibölge, sınıf düzeyi ve okudukları bölüm türüne göre fazla bir farklılıkgöstermemektedir. Ancak kadın öğretmen adaylarının erkeklere göre dahahoşgörülü olma eğilimde oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca, araştırmayakatılan öğretmen adaylarının çok yüksek düzeyde olmasa da yükseğe yakın düzeydehoşgörülü olma eğiliminde olduklarını söyleyebiliriz. |

The individual needs to havesome values in order to be happy in the society in which he lives. One of themost important of these values is tolerance. Teaching the value of toleranceand spreading it to society will become easier thanks to education. In thissense, teachers and teacher candidates have important duties. It is importantin terms of value education that teacher candidates tend to be tolerant beforethey start the profession and make their students feel it in a healthy mannerwhen they start the profession. In this context, the aim of the research is todetermine the tolerance levels of the teacher candidates and to examine them interms of various variables (gender, grade, the type of department they study,geographical area in which they live). The research was structured according tothe descriptive survey model from quantitative research methods and was carriedout with 195 teacher candidates studying at the Faculty of Education ofSüleyman Demirel University. The data in the study was collected using theTendency to Tolerance Scale developed by Çalışkan and Sağlam. The scaleconsisting of 18 items was prepared according to the 5-point likert scale. (“1”is absolutely inappropriate, “2” is inappropriate, “3” is slightly appropriate,“4” is appropriate, “5” is absolutelyappropriate). As a result of the research, the tolerance levels of teachercandidates do not differ much depending on the geographical area in which theylive, grade level and the type of department they study.However, it has beenfound that female teacher candidates tend to be more tolerant than men.We canalso say that the teacher candidates who participated in the study tended to betolerant at a level close to high, but not at a very high level. |
