Geçmiştengünümüze doğa içerisinde fiziksel çevreler, kentler oluşturulurken insanlarıntercihleri topoğrafik yapı, iklim özellikleri, erişim kolaylığı, doğalkaynaklar, doğa ve çevre ilişkisi gibi yer oluşturma ilkeleri etrafındatemellenmektedir. Fiziksel öğelerin niteliklerinin yanı sıra taşıdıklarıanlamları ve nasıl algılandıkları da oldukça önemlidir. Bu bağlamda çevrenin yalnızca insanın biyolojikgereksinmelerini karşılayan işlevsellik değil, aynı zamanda psikolojik,entelektüel gereksinmelerini de karşılayan estetik nitelikler de taşımasıgerekmektedir. Bu çalışma ile estetik niteliği kazanmış kentlerin, kentbilincinin geliştiği daha huzurlu, daha sağlıklı kentsel yaşam alanlarıoluşturacağı hipotezinden yola çıkılmıştır. Kullanıcıları tarafından çevreselalgı ve kent estetiğine yönelik görüşlerin araştırılması amacıyla, Antalyakentinde aktif olarak kullanılan Güllük Caddesi ve devamında yer alanCumhuriyet Meydanı, Kapalı Yol mevkileri çalışma alanı olarak belirlenmiştir.Çıkan sonuçlarla, kentsel çevre algısı ve estetiğine yönelik düzenlemeler veönlemler alınarak, kentin çağdaş yaşamın gereklilikleri ile uyumlu veyaşanabilir alanlar olarak gelecek kuşaklara aktarılmasına katkı sağlanacaktır. |

From the past to the present, while physicalenvironments and cities in the nature are being established, people'spreferences have been based on the principals of constructing sites such astopographic structure, climate characteristics, ease of access, naturalresources, and nature and environment relations. In addition to the features ofphysical elements, the meaning they have and how they are perceived are alsovery important. In this context, the environment must bear not only thefunctionality that meets the human biological needs, but also the aestheticqualities that meet the psychological and intellectual needs. With this study,the hypothesis that the cities, which have gained the aesthetic quality, willcreate more peaceful and healthy urban living areas where city consciousnessdevelops has been proposed. In order to investigate the viewpoints about environmentalperception and urban aesthetics by its users, Güllük Street which is activelyused in the city of Antalya and the Cumhuriyet Square located in the followingsection have been determined as the study area of the Kapalı Yol positions.With the results obtained, arrangements and measures for urban environmentperception and aesthetics will be ensured and the city will be harmonized withthe requirements of contemporary life and contribute to its transfer to futuregenerations as habitable areas. |
