Hz. Peygamberin hadislerinden bir kısmı veya bir bölümü az lafızla çok mana ifade ettikleri için meşhur olmuş ve vecize özelliğini kazanmıştır. el-Meydânî (518/1124)’nin vecize ve atasözlerini ihtiva eden ve alanın en meşhur kitabı olan, Mecmau‘l-Emsâl adlı eserinde bu hadislerden bir kısmına yer verilmiştir. Vecizelerin anlamlarını doğru kavrayabilmek için ihtiva ettikleri edebî özelliklerin bilinmesi çok önemlidir. Daha önce el-Meydânî’nin Hz. Peygamber’e ait olduğunu ifade ettiği elli sekiz vecizeden yirmi dokuzu I. Makalede, geri kalan yirmi dokuzu da bu makalede edebî özellikleriyle ele alınıp incelenmiştir. Bu yapılırken, önce vecizenin hadis kaynaklarından yerleri gösterilmiş, müteakiben vecizelerin metinleri ve anlamları, varsa farklı lafız ve rivâyetleri, dayandığı kaynakları, garip kelimelerinin izahı ve edebî özellikleri gösterilmiştir |

Some of the Prophet Muhammad’s hadiths became known for their being of having various meanings with less words and they thus gained the status of terse in Islamic literature. One of the well-known book having such terses and proverbs is that of Majma' al-Amthal written by al-Maydanî (518/1124). It is therefore very important to know the literary features of these terses to grasp their true meanings. Previously a number of 29 terses out of 59 that are considered by al-Maidani to be belonging to the Prophet were examined in the first paper; in this paper another 29 terses have also been examined. In doing so, firstly the origins of these terses from the hadith sources have been indicated. After that, the texts and meanings of these terses, their different wording and narrations, their original sources, the explainations of the strange words and their literary features have been shown in some detail |
